SIDC-AskBIM Programme
The AskBIM programme is SIDC's flagship R&D initiative, developing an AI-powered conversational interface for BIM data. The system enables construction professionals to query complex building information models using natural language, dramatically reducing the technical barrier to accessing critical project data.
Built on advanced natural language processing and computer vision technologies, AskBIM represents the next evolution in how professionals interact with digital construction data. The programme is conducted in collaboration with the University of Manchester's Department of Computer Science.
